Nestled in the heart of Central Frontenac, Springwood Cottage Resort is centrally located to provide guests with easy access to all that this region has to offer – nature, shopping, artisans, adventure and more.

With approximately 500 hectares of fresh water to explore, guests can partake in water sports, swimming, fishing, paddling and more. Bring your own boat or rent one from our marina to enhance your Springwood adventure.

Those who wish to get some moderate exercise can go for a run, hike, bike or snowshoe just outside the resort along Kennebec Wilderness Trails, which features 7 kilometers of trails a 2 km inclined dirt path loop with lake views on a former ski hill.

Those who are more active and adventurous, can gain easy access to the nearby Trans Canada Trail (Central Frontenac Trail) for snowmobiling, ATVing, biking, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, hiking and more. This trail connects into many others via Sharbot Lake and Kaladar to give adventurers endless options for exploring.

Alternatively book a guided 90-minute, half-day or full-day ATV tour with Thrill Seeker ATV tours which is a mere 10-minute drive from the Resort.

The village of Arden has a children’s playground, park, a recreation hall, public beach and boat launch, as well as a vibrant artisan community that guests may visit and explore.

Day Trips

We are conveniently located in the heart of Frontenac cottage country which allows for easy day trips to several surrounding villages, towns and communities, all within a 1-hour drive.

Many of the surrounding towns, including Sharbot Lake, feature some of mother nature’s finest treasures, including caves, mines, night sky viewing, parks, beaches and nature reserves that are ideal for activity and exploration. The towns and townships of Perth, Lanark and Westport offer guests an opportunity to explore small town charm, local artisans’ food and wares; as well as specialty shopping and dining experiences in a beautiful rural setting. While the beautiful historic city of Kingston area has a vibrant night life, dining and shopping options, and plenty of excursions for anyone’s tastes. Ask us for suggestions!
