Come Play, Savour, Relax & Enjoy
No matter what your interests, there’s something for everyone, Your stay at Springwood Cottage Resort can include several optional activities (subject to availability/seasonality/weather).

Beach and Playground
Our large, sandy, shallow beach with a water trampoline, XL water mat and playground is perfect for family play and cooling down during those lazy days of summer. Your lounger is waiting for you!

Games and More
With a fully stocked Game Room, as well as a collection of over 800 table top games (aka board games) and a “Share Shed” filled with DVDs, puzzles and books that you can borrow, you may actually welcome a rainy day at the cottage!

Communal Bonfire
While each cottage has its own private, stocked firepit, we also host a weekly communal bonfire as a meet & greet opportunity in July and August. Bring your guitar and a drink; we’ve got the marshmallows and sparklers! Upon special request, we can also host communal bonfires throughout the rest of the year.

Wine CAmp ($)
By special request or weekly throughout the summer, we offer guests an opportunity to partake in “Wine Camp”. This is a couple of hours of shared stories, education and savouring 5-6 exclusive wines paired with chacuterie, all guided by our local Wine Agent, Brent. Guests may also purchase specialty curated cases of mixed wines to have waiting at their cottage upon arrival.
Subject to meeting min. class size & availability. Additional fees apply. Connect directly with Brent
Fishing
At Springwood, guests can enjoy fishing all year round! Whether you are fishing off our docks, exploring the lake by boat or using an ice hut, you are sure to find that Kennebec Lake is a clean, healthy habitat for bass, walleye, pickerole, pike and pan fish.
Inquire today about boat slips, rental boats or ice fishing hut rentals to compliment your stay. We also have a few poles available to borrow for those guests who do not have their own equipment and want to try it out.
And please fish responsibly (we encourage guests to practice catch & release) to help keep our fish population healthy and happy!

Hiking
We are so fortunate to be located along the most southerly edge of the Canadian Shield. This rough topography lends itself to wonderful hiking trails. Within walking distance of the resort are the picturesque Kennebec Wilderness Trails, which are a relatively easy set of year-round forested trails in an old ski hill suitable for hiking and snowshoeing. Many other trail systems are also available for use in the surrounding area.

Biking
Feel free to borrow one of our adult/youth bikes or bring your own and explore the area. More serious bicyclists can enjoy some mountain biking at the nearby L&A Bike trails or along the other nearby multi-use trails or carve out a longer bike ride around the gorgeous scenic road routes.

Boat Rentals & Tours ($)
At Springwood you don’t need to rent or bring your own “water toys”. We’ve got you covered with a large selection of kayaks, tandem kayaks, canoes, peddle boats & SUPs that you can enjoy throughout your stay during our standard Marina hours. Safety kits, paddles & life vests provided, but we do encourage parents to bring their children’s own life vests to ensure proper fit.
