Discover Springwood Cottage Resort Today

Springwood is an all season boutique cottage resort with 17 well appointed and tastefully decorated cottages nestled on the banks of Kennebec Lake in Central Frontenac, surrounded by mature trees and gorgeous views.  The resort features a large sandy private beach, playground, games room, marina, general store and plenty of gathering areas. With a focus on comfort, the cottages have all the amenities needed to enjoy a relaxing getaway from a romantic weekend, family vacation, wedding to a larger group retreat.

Kennebec Lake is part of the Kennebec Wetlands Complex which serves as the head waters of the Salmon River and is one of the largest wetland complexes in Southern, Central and Eastern Ontario.  This highly biodiverse area covers over 2500 hectares (6000 acres) and sits entirely on Precambrian Shield.  The Kennebec wetlands are flanked by two dark sky viewing areas – Lennox Addington Dark Sky Viewing Area to the southwest and North Frontenac Astronomy Park to the northeast, making Kennebec Lake a perfect location for stargazing at night.

Our goal is to make sure your time with us is reflective of what we believe is a true Canadian cottage experience, spending quality time with family and friends and connecting with nature. Being part of the Kennebec Wetland Complex there is lots of nature to experience on the property and the surrounding areas. Whether paddling the lake, or hiking the nearby trails, or just sitting on your cottage deck, listening to the loon calls, nature is abound.

Enjoying nature together brings people together but we believe quality time can also come from games. Board games have been part of helping societies come together for over 5000 years and are a critical part of cottage life in Canada.  Consequently, gaming is a major theme at Springwood with many outdoor games throughout the property as well as a games room with a selection of over 1000 unique boardgames so you can play your favourite board game or discover something new together.
