Our Philosophy
At Springwood, we believe that spending time at a cottage is all about slowing down, enjoying nature and the simpler things in life, including reconnecting with the ones we love. What better way to do that than to play games? As Canada’s premiere board game cottage resort, we offer a unique perk to our guests – a games library of nearly 1000 tabletop games (aka board games), as well as many outdoor games, a large games room filled with a variety of arcade style games and some hidden games related easter eggs throughout the resort.
Games Library
Check out our ever-growing selection of nearly 1000 unique tabletop games that you can borrow when staying with us. You will be sure to find one that’s just right for you whether you enjoy playing an old favourite or want to discover something new. Choose from classic family, strategy, Euro-style, deck building, social deduction, card drafting, co-operative, worker placement, party or other styles of games. Whatever your tastes – we’ve got you covered!
Games Room
At Springwood, you can opt to borrow games and play them in your cottage, or you can play in our central Games Room with other guests. Our games room features a couple of tables for open tabletop play as well as a variety of arcade style games, including a pool/snooker table, a shuffleboard table, electronic basketball and a custom barrel shaped arcade table featuring over 400 old school video games.
Outdoor Games
Need to stretch your legs after a long gaming session? In the winter try an outdoor game of crokicurl, pond hockey, try out snow shoeing, ice skating or build a snowman. In the summer catch a game of beach volleyball, badminton, corn hole, ladder golf, outdoor foosball, giant Jenga or other yard games that are set up throughout the resort. Our Springwood kids can also earn a free ice cream by partaking in our Fairy Door Scavenger Hunt set up from Victoria Day to Thanksgiving.
