Springwood has new owners!
Springwood Cottages is excited to announce that effective March 1, 2021 it has changed ownership. Cezar Spirala and his family have, for the past 16 years, successfully transformed this once rustic fishing camp into a staple cottage resort business in Frontenac County. Cezar and his partner Kelly are now moving onto new adventures and the business will be transferred over to Ed and Christine Chaplin.
The Chaplin’s have been looking for an opportunity to connect nature, adventure, family and community in an eastern Ontario setting. Springwood Cottage Resort provides the couple with the perfect setting in which to launch that vision.
The Chaplin’s are excited to continue to enhance the offerings at Springwood Cottage Resort on a year-round basis. Guests can continue to connect with each other, nature, and the local community in this friendly, relaxed setting along the beautiful shores of Kennebec Lake. Beyond a variety of water activities, including boating and unparalleled fishing, the area also offers an extensive trail system that connects to the Trans Canada trail allowing guests easy access to many activities for all ages throughout the year. The area also has a vibrant local artisan community that guests can explore and has easy access to amenities and restaurants in nearby Sharbot lake.
Ed and Christine look forward to contributing to the local community by building employment opportunities and partnering with other local businesses and community organizations to increase tourism and economic growth throughout this region. The couple would like to thank Cezar and Kelly for their support during the transition of ownership and wish them every happiness in the next phase of their journey.
The resort, just off Highway 7 in Arden ON, is conveniently located within a comfortable drive from Toronto, Ottawa or Kingston.
